Updated 4/28/20

Dear Campers & Friends,

We are excited to announce we will be opening Friday, May 1st. We are thankful for all of you who have stood by us and remain patient while we navigate these uncharted waters.

Our hearts and prayers go out to everyone impacted by COVID-19.    Before your stay with us, we want you to be aware of our increased efforts to keep our guests and family safe and healthy. We are modifying our business practices for the foreseeable future based on CDC guidance and statewide mandatory restrictions. As the situation rapidly evolves, we will continue to take the necessary steps to ensure that we are acting accordingly.

You are the primary person responsible for your own preparedness in this time of COVID 19. We cannot guarantee anyone’s safety from any virus or sickness during a visit to Hemlock Campground and Cottages. This means you accept this risk for yourself and those you are visiting with.  If you are sick, have medical vulnerabilities or are considered at higher risk, you need to stay home. The only way to eradicate COVID-19 is by avoiding the chance of infecting others.  Come back when you are well!

We need you to understand that we are taking this pandemic seriously.  We will be following CDC guidance and other recommended guidelines to enforce rules and procedures that will help to mitigate risk.  Anyone who chooses not to follow these rules and procedures will be asked to leave the park immediately.  We know the guidelines are going to be difficult to follow but need all to remember that as of April 26th camping wasn’t even a possibility.  You will need to follow the same rules at camp as you do in your own homes.

TEMPORARY CHANGES

In order to promote social distancing and comply with statewide mandatory restrictions, we have modified our offerings for the foreseeable future.

Please bring groceries and liquor from home.  Liquor stores are closed in Pa and not an option.  Food stores are overly taxed so please bring food from your hometown.

Practice Social Distancing – Maintain the recommended minimum 6 feet apart from fellow recreationists.

Everyone must wear a mask or protective garment that covers the nose and mouth any time you go outside and interact with other people.

Cabins that include their own restroom facilities are available, but there will be no back-to-back rentals. We will be using disinfectant to clean but we plan to leave a 72 hour turnaround time following cleaning to be extra cautious. You must be able to use the restroom facilities available to you in your rental unit.

RV sites are available, but we will be monitoring the occupancy between each site.  Your RV must have a working bathroom.

Tent sites will be closed until further notice.

Laundry facilities will be closed until further notice.

Bathhouse will be closed until further notice.

Store – will be open. We will be selling all items at the store like we always do; however, we are practicing social distancing both inside and outside the store.  Only one family is allowed in the store at a time.  Please allow family to leave and door handles to be wiped before entering.  No browsing please. The store is not an activity for boredom at this time.

Registration – we will be limiting the interaction between registration and our guests.

Playground, gaga ball pit, rec hall etc are closed. It is impossible for us to keep the equipment sanitized between each use.

Basketball is open if you bring your own ball.  Social distancing must be maintained.  Ping pong and horseshoe equipment can be signed out at the store and returned for disinfecting between campers.

Pool – closed until Memorial Day at this time.

Activities are cancelled until Memorial Day Weekend. We will reevaluate at that time in accordance with CDC and governmental regulations.

We are deeply saddened by this change in our operations and hope to be back to business as usual as soon as possible.  We will reopen our amenities as soon as we are able to do so safely according to the CDC and government regulations.  We will continue to share updates and stay connected through email and Facebook during this time.

We thank you for your patience and for continuing to support our small family business in these challenging times.

Stay safe.

Craig and Barbara Repetski
